Five-step walkthrough
Walkthrough: Marginalia
Five screenshots in the order I would talk through them. Each step names what to look at, and every chip and Prev/Next link is a real URL fragment.
Step 1 of 5
One answer, one cited quote
The reader shows page 2 of the Sentence-BERT paper with citation 2 highlighted in the margin and the matching source row in the answer pane. The claim above the sources is the sentence the quote supports.
Step 2 of 5
Three claims, three highlighted quotes
Page 3 carries the selected quote for claim 1, and the answer pane lists claims 1 through 3 above three source rows. Each row names a page and shows the start of the quote it matched.
Step 3 of 5
The retrieval trail behind the answer
The overlay reports 3 of 3 claims passed and 0 removed for a quote mismatch. The second-pass table gives each passage a page, score, evidence probability and INCLUDED status, and the final decision reads ANSWERED at a threshold of 0.2552.
Step 4 of 5
The evaluation table behind the claim
The report lists 30 questions, 24 answerable and 6 unanswerable, with rates of 18/24, 8/24, 6/6, 7/9 and 7/9 and Wilson 95% ranges. The check column marks 2 of 5 checks met and the last row counts where each question stopped.
Step 5 of 5
Three cases where the pipeline withholds
The bottom strip names a plausible near miss that is withheld, a fluent claim that is removed because its quote is outside the cited chunk, and a rare term that keyword search finds. Each column records a different outcome.
